One of the main objectives of the Biology department at Bristol Cathedral Choir School is to encourage curiosity and fascination for the living world.

Key Stage 3 Biology follows the national curriculum and comes under the Combined Science course for Years 7 and 8. The AQA specification allows students the option to take Science and Additional Science at GCSE level, or to take Biology as a separate subject alongside Chemistry and Physics. We also follow the AQA Biology course at A Level, with modules in January and June.

Throughout the school, Biology is taught with an emphasis on nurturing a thorough understanding of topics in their broader context, to spark interest and to motivate learning.
