The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department aims to provide an ICT-rich environment that will evolve to embrace new technologies and methods. We seek to provide 24/7 access to resources and support. Our goal is to develop and celebrate the skills, capabilities and achievements of our pupils, staff and the wider community; and to share creative and imaginative ways of using ICT within education.

At Key Stage 3 we follow a modular course based on the National Curriculum framework, with some modules taught in discrete ICT lessons and others through specifically planned lessons in other subjects. At Key Stage 4, ICT is a GCSE option – we follow the AQA A course. We also follow AQA for A Level.

The central ICT facilities are available to pupils both before and after school, and pupils can also access ICT rooms at lunchtime according to a rota. A number of ICT-related clubs are under development.
