Science (Key Stage 3) PDF Print E-mail
Science is a fascinating subject and our aim is to engage the pupils at every step. Our lessons are designed to make the link between the subject and the wider world explicit, interesting and real.

Bristol Cathedral Choir School uses the Exploring Science: How Science Works units at Key Stage 3, covering every aspect of the curriculum at this level. Pupils explore many of the processes that bring about change in our scientific knowledge and understanding.

The course is organised into three main topics. These are: organisms - their behaviour and the environment; materials - their properties and the Earth and energy - forces and space. There is plenty of scope for hands-on activity, and students learn how one aspect of science is relevant to the next.

With a variety of practical, investigative and theoretical work backed up with individual text book and CD packs, there is plenty to keep the pupils occupied. This stimulates a desire to learn more about Science, and prepares them for further study in the future.
