    Our school's history is closely linked with that of the cathedral, and we are lucky to be one of the only state cathedral choir schools in the country, something we are very proud of.

  • Our musical history

    Music is an essential part of school life here, and a part of the school's history. Children have sung on this site as far back as the twelfth century.

  • Our academic curriculum

    Our curriculum is built around the humanities, languages, sciences, mathematics, arts and the performing arts over vocational or technical qualifications, hence we are an academic school.

    Bristol Cathedral Choir School is a special place. It is the oldest school in Bristol with a rich musical tradition and a distinctive Christian ethos. It is one of the few remaining state choir schools in the country, educating choristers for Bristol Cathedral Choir. We are proudly comprehensive and inclusive, serving pupils from all areas of the city, and of all faiths and none.
