The Sixth Form is a vibrant and diverse community, comprising students coming from over 40 schools across the locality. We welcome all applications and recognise how big a decision this is for young people. Thank you for considering BCCS. Please read through the admission arrangements and follow the guidance below to support your transition; we will support the process by offering clear and honest advice as to a young person’s best options for their post-16 education.

Wednesday 15th October 2025	Application Form for Sixth Form 2026 opens – apply here Current BCCS Year 11s: please do not start a new application. Please login with the details emailed to you. If you have any issues please email post16admissions@bristolcathedral.org.uk Please read all the information on this page before submitting a new application.
Friday 26th June 2026	Sixth Form taster Day More information to follow in Spring.
Thursday 20th August 2026	GCSE results day / Enrolment As soon as GCSE results are known students should confirm their intention to take up a place via the online admissions & enrolment portal and upload evidence of their results. Details will be updated as the year progresses. Where BCCS is oversubscribed all applications will be considered in line with the published admission arrangements and no place can be guaranteed. To enrol, please login to your application from 8am on Results Day.
Early September 2026	Induction Day for Sixth Form. Details to follow enrolment.

Admission Arrangements 2026/27 

Entry Requirements 

• To be eligible to enter the sixth form, both internal and external students will be expected to have met the minimum academic entry requirement at GCSE which is at least five grades at 6, 6, 5, 5, 5 and a 4 in English Language or Literature.
